BRUNA CABRAL

Creative Producer / Assistant Director

Bruna Cabral is an award-winning filmmaker from Rio de Janeiro, known for her emotionally remarkable storytelling. With degrees in Business and Management of Entertainment, Producing, and Directing from UCLA, she made her directorial debut with the short film "PIECE OF ME," which she also wrote and produced. The film received critical acclaim being nominated for 35 festivals, including the prestigious Chicago International Children's Film Festival, accredited as Academy Award Qualifying, and winning accolades in 12 film festivals worldwide.

 

As an Associate Producer, Cabral contributed to the success of the feature film "HAM ON RYE," directed by Tyler Taormina. The film premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival accredited as Academy Award Qualifying. HAM ON RYE was selected for the Locarno Film Festival, also accredited as Academy Award Qualifying. Notably, "HAM ON RYE" was mentioned by The New Yorker in an article discussing the 2021 Oscar nominations.

 

Cabral's expertise extends beyond directing and producing. She also produced the short film "HEADWAY," directed by Camila Rizzo, which premiered at the LA Shorts International Film Festival accredited as Academy Award Qualifying and received awards in 12 festivals. Her contributions as a producer earned her the Best Producer award at the Queen Palm International Film Festival.

 

Passionate about supporting female filmmakers, Cabral ensures her projects are screened at esteemed festivals such as the Hollywood Women's Film Institute: Hollywood Women's Film Festival, La Femme International Film Festival, and Muestra de Cine Mujeres en Escena. Additionally, she has served as a jury member at the Short of the Year Film Festival in Spain and T.I.F.A – Tietê International Film Awards in Brazil, Short of the Year in Spain and Julien Dubuque International Film Festival in the US.

 

 

Cabral's talent and versatility have led her to collaborate with renowned actors and athletes, including Andre Holland, Kate Mara, Zazie Beetz, Stephen
McKinley Henderson, Aldis Hodge, Jon Lovitz, Michael Madsen, Ernest Thomas, and Chris Elliott, and NFL football player Tony Gonzales. Her creative prowess extends beyond filmmaking, as she has worked on commercials, promos, and on-demand fitness content.

 

Based in Los Angeles, Cabral thrives in high-pressure environments, consistently delivering exceptional results on time. With her dedication to both her team's success and the project's excellence, Cabral ensures that no detail goes unnoticed while empowering her collaborators to deliver their best work.
